January
17, 2009 at Brinkley, Arkansas on UP's Jonesboro Sub. I saw a work
train today that came to Brinkley from West Memphis and did some
switching, plus several other trains. This was the Saturday that had
the famous, annual Yahoo Group Railspot luncheon in Plano, Texas. I
understand 52 or more attended, but I couldn't make it. Included today
at Brinkley:
1) CN 5715
2) UP 4995, 9558, 8558, 4526
3) Snow on black tank cars
Sunrise over a cypress swamp off US Highway 70 on my way to Brinkley from the Little Rock, area.
CN 5715 zips past the Brinkley Depot Museum at 9:23 a.m. with a mixed train. There was snow on may of the cars.

Southbound Z train, 11:00 a.m.
UP 8558 on a mixed at 1:12 p.m., about the time the Railspot luncheon got started in Plano.
UP 4526 on another Z train at 3:07 p.m.
