Just
9 photos today, Sunday October 26, 2008. The shot of the day was the
BNSF trackage rights train headed by Santa Fe Warbonnet 711 and 104. I
also tried two artsy-type photo editing shots. There were more
trains, but I didn't include them. Included today:
1)Union Statoin construction scene.
2) BNSF 711, 104 (both warbonnets) and 4506, 9:36 a.m.
3) UP 8148 with empty coal train, 10:31 a.m.
4) UP 2452, southbound on the Amtrak siding, 10:56 a.m. with enhanced sky
5) Large coils on a flatcar.
The
parking lot in front of Union Station was being torn up to replace the
drainage pipes, so it was closed to cars. Amtrak passengers had to park
on the south side of the station. I did a little photo editing using
Paint Shop Pro's color changer to come up with this eerie,
other-worldly scene.
At 9:36 a.m., BNSF/Santa Fe 711 leads a BNSF trackage rights train northbound.
These two warbonnet locomotives were in very good condition, colorwise.
BNSF 104.
BNSF 4506
Northbound empty coal train headed by UP 8148, 10:31 a.m.
Southbound UP 2452 on the Amtrak siding, 10:56 a.m. with a deep, deep blue computer-generated sky.
The black sky looks like it was night with a very bright flash on the camera.
These large coils were on this train.
