Saturday,
November 15, 2008 at Brinkley, Arkansas, along the UP. It was cold and
windy today with dark clouds. Temperatures were in the 40s. Included
today:
1) UP 5163, 9682, 5689, 9466, 8178, 6455
2) NS 9242
3) CN 'zebra' 5517
4) Long gon train loaded with large coils of some type
5) Dark clouds and sunsets

Clouds
moved in when a strong cold front moved through. No rain from this. It
had rained overnight and early in the morning, but then cleared off for
awhile before a re-enforcement of cold air moved in shortly before
noon. It was about 44 degrees now, normal high for this day would have
been 60.

NS 9242 at 12:26 p.m. This train was an unusually short autorack train with only 7 cars.

8178 at 3:53 p.m. This train had a DPU. I forgot to set the camera's
shutter speed to 1/500 second to stop the action, since these trains
move about 60 mph past here.
