Amtrak's Texas Eagle, northbound No. 22, on two nights,  Tuesday November 6 (election night) and Thursday November 8, 2012 at Union Station in Little Rock, Arkansas. On November 8, the Eagle had 2 private cars on the rear, Nos. 800756 and 800025. I've also included a link to a movie of the train leaving on November 8.

UP 7673, 11:04 p.m. Tuesday November 6, 2012, taken while I was waiting for the Texas Eagle.

This was taken from the tv screen in the Amtrak waiting room in Union Station at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, November 6. The station was full of passengers waiting for the train and watching election returns. I included this for historical, archival purposes only, not to favor one candidate over the other. I would have also taken this photo had Romney won the election.

Passengers were told to line up to board the Eagle at 11:20 p.m. The Eagle was early.

A good crowd for a Tuesday night. Amazing how many people wait for trains in the middle of the night.

Texas Eagle arriving at 11:22 p.m. I used an ISO of 12,800 with strong noise reduction on my Sony alpha65 camera.

Departed at 11:42 p.m.

UP 8796, 11:48 p.m.

Poplar vote as of 12:18 a.m. November 7. Definitely showed a divided country.

Two nights later, Thursday night November 8, 2012, at 11:09 p.m. This cat was curious about my camera.

New TBOX 662223 boxcar.

Texas Eagle arriving at 11:30 p.m. November 8.

Locomotive 198 lead this 9-car train, which included 2 private cars.

Charter dome car and observation car were on the end of the train. The car numbers are 8000756 and 800025. Thanks to Jerry Nunn who advised me these cars were on the end of 22.

St James Place observation car.

These were headed to Chicago from Fort Worth.

A freight is approaching the station from the south, the BNSF local, at 11:34 p.m.

Santa Fe/BNSF 3036 leads the BNSF local past the Texas Eagle at 11:34 p.m.

BNSF 2163.

11:39 p.m.

11:43 p.m.

The BNSF local backing to the Pulaski siding in west Little Rock just before the Eagle departed at 11:45 p.m. I don't see BNSF lettering on the Santa Fe unit.
