Amtrak locomotive #156, one of Amtrak's 'Heritage/Annivesary' locomotives, headed the northbound Texas Eagle at Little Rock, Arkansas on Sunday night, May 29, 2011 at midnight. Here are some photos and a video:


The Eagle arrived at 11:45 p.m. May 29. There was a healthy crowd waiting to board.


Lined up to get on the St Louiis-Chicago-bound train.


Amtrak locomotive No. 156 is painted in the 'headless arrow' style of the 1970s to commemorate Amtrak's 40th anniversary, 1971-2011.










Consist of the train: Amtrak locomotives 156, 73, 11, passenger cars 39018 (sleeper), 32076 (sleeper), 37006 (diner), 33000 (lounge), 34134 (coach), 31036 (coach), 34101 (coach).
