Here's a couple of pictures of Central Arkansas Transit's streetcars decorated with Christmas lights and animals in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas Saturday night, December 11, 2010.  A major Arctic cold front had pushed through the area during the afternoon and it was COLD when I took these photos. Winds were officially gusting at 35-40 mph with temperature in the upper 30s and wind chill in the mid 20s. Temperatures were expected to plunge into the teens and 20s overnight  with wind chill temperature at Little Rock by morning around 10 degrees. Definitely frostbite danger.

At the deserted Historic Arkansas Museum stop about 8 p.m. (they closed a couple of hours before). The main riders at this time on Saturday nights are River Market club and restaurant patrons who ride between venues in Little Rock and North Little Rock. It has stops close to the Capitol and  Peabody Hotels, where several riders get on and off. The entertainment area is one away from this scene. Note the new lighted giraffe on the top.

Cute.

Chamber of Commerce stop.
