Two
Ashley, Drew & Northern boxcars separated by one car passing Union
Station in Little Rock on Sunday, January 4, 2009. The mixed train was
headed by UP 7011. A cold front had just passed, dropping temperatures
from 55 to 49 in about an hour.

About
100 Trumpeter Swans migrate to Magness Lake near Heber Springs,
Arkansas each winter. They've come to this private late every year
since 1992 and are the only Trumpeter Swans in Arkansas. They are the
same 'family' of swans each year, coming from Wisconsin or Michigan in
late November and fly back around Valentines Day. It is thought
that they were blown off course by bad weather in 1992 to this lake,
since before that time they went to another part of the southeast U.S.
I took these photos January 1, 2009. You can see more photos,
