Amtrak Texas Eagles 21 and 22 at Little Rock, Arkansas on Tuesday night-Wednesday morning, March 31-April 1, 2015. I decided to stay and catch both middle of the night Eagles. Locomotive 189, the Big Game locomotive, was on the southbound Eagle 21. I also caught a couple of freights, including one with UP 1982, the Missouri Pacific heritage, in the consist. While at the Amtrak station, I ran into a lady who had worked at the Little Rock Public library with my late wife and we had a nice chat about all those days when I used to visit. She and some others were heading to Chicago. Fortunately tonight, both Eagles were less than an hour late.

Eagle 22 leaving at 12:33 a.m. Now it gets lonely on the vacant platform and I can hear the killdeer birds.

Now it's 3:22 a.m. and Amtrak Agent Richard on the baggage cart is heading to the platform for Texas Eagle 21's arrival from the north, heading southwest toward Texas. The Arkansas State Capital is in the background. Of course, I was the only railfan here. The streets were vacant. I never liked big crowds anyway - lol.
