Amtrak Texas Eagle northbound No. 22 at Little Rock, Arkansas at midnight, Tuesday night June 4, 2013. Another good crowd of passengers. I also got a BNSF through train passing Union Station.

Texas Eagle arriving 11:56 p.m. heading for St Louis and Chicago.

Amtrak locomotive 179.

Passengers getting off.

11:59 pm boarding passengers and those getting off for a smoke stop. There's no smoking on board Amtrak trains and Little Rock is one of several designated stations where passengers can get off and smoke.

A typical crowd of people boarding, taken with my telephoto lens.

Union Station is pretty active around the midnight our every night. It's now 12:01 a.m. June 5.

Passengers have boarded and this couple was saddened because one of their loved-ones was going away.

Before Amtrak arrived, this BNSF trackage rights through train passed the station, led by BNSF 4981.

BNSF 5330.

BNSF 6673.
