LEFT-Blurry, track speed, intermodal headed by UP 3923 at 9:10 a.m. RIGHT-UP
7824 west/south bound from West Memphis at 9:14 a.m. Notice another
train in the distance. The trains are not as close as they look (there was about a 20 minute separation).
LEFT-UP 7824 reaches the curve. RIGHT-9:19 a.m. looking to the east.
LEFT-9:23 a.m. RIGHT-Standing
on the original platform that was next to the Rock Island's tracks,
which used to be just to the left. The train in the distance is on the
Rock's old line east of Brinkley. This line used to go west all the way
through Little Rock, west Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and ended up in
Tucumcari, New Mexico. Most of this line was taken up in the early
1980s.
LEFT-CSX
7785 was the train in the distance. It arrived on the curve at 9:36
a.m. RIGHT-Peninsula Terminal boxcar HS 75397. I've never heard of this
road. What did the logo look like in on the door?
LEFT-Next to the fence which separates the depot from the tracks. RIGHT-The sun came out late in the morning for a brief time. The zenias are in full bloom.
By
the time I got my camera turned on, this fast intermodal was zipping
past the old ticket office in the depot. Click on the small photo below

fps:

download using a cable modem connection.
