A freight derailment occurred on the west side of Union Pacific's yards in North Little Rock, Arkansas the morning of Friday, January 27, 2012. Here are some pictures I took from the public Locust Street overpass, which has a sidewalk. The derailment was just east of this overpass. Thanks to John C. Jones, UP photographer in this area, for giving me the heads up.  (Ken Ziegenbein photos)

Taken at 2:20 p.m. January 27.

All the derailed cars were empty.
