This
was sitting on a siding in North Little Rock, Arkansas this morning,
September 28, 2009.
It's a large load from Siemens. From a trusted source at UP: "The large
generator load you saw was a generator going to Pipemill, UT. It
came off of the NS at Memphis. It originated in the Carolinas
somewhere, where it was rebuilt. It was going to the namesake
place, Pipemill, UT. The UP symbol was SMEPM. Its not a wind
turbine generator."
Other answers I received as to what this load is: "A Generator. More specifically, an Alternator for use in a
power plant. - Mike Schattl" -- "Looks like the stator for a
generator to me. - Tom Balzen" -- Eric Grissom said it may be a
generator for windmills. -- According to Larry: "Inside the shipping container is a 90
ton Wind turbine unit. I will dig out a picture of the nacelle unit for
you. This what sits on top of the tower and the blades are attached to."
