LEFT-Dense fog covered central Arkansas early in the day (freezing fog). This engine light move was heading toward North Little Rock from Biddle Yards at 9:10 a.m. RIGHT-UP 9475 heads a mixed train northbound at 4:05 p.m. I'm looking into the sun.

LEFT-TTPX 806273 carrying a large load. RIGHT-Chessie System boxcar with the Chessie Cat.

LEFT-The sun broke through brightly at 4:09 p.m. RIGHT-LRWN 1542 is about to go around the curve heading to the UP North Little Rock yards at 4:26 p.m.

Heading away from the sun with the warm colors of approaching sunset. The LRWN's Alco's (No. 101 and 102) are still in Perry, Arkansas as far as I know. They have not been using them - they are both out of service.

CPX 346 milepost, called by UP 'Amtrak Sta.' Amtrak's Texas Eagle uses the track at right.

LEFT-UP 5096 and 3 other UP units on an intermodal, 4:45 p.m. RIGHT-The Little Rock & Western train at left is waiting for a signal.

NS 9366 heading out of the sun at 5:00 p.m.

RIGHT-String of AOK hoppers, former CNW.

LEFT-Warm, fuzzy, artsy colors. RIGHT-UP 9673, light move to Biddle Yard, 5:07 p.m.

Sunset beginning at 5:19 p.m. It was in the 50s today, but northern Arkansas still had 2 inches of ice over everything with 300,000 still out of power due to a large ice storm two days ago on January 28.

LEFT-I wish the signals would have been lit. RIGHT-Same scene showing a hint of blue overhead.

LEFT-US Flag on top of Union Station in the warm afterglow of sunset. RIGHT-Regions Bank building downtown.

5:28 p.m. looking west-southwest.

RIGHT-Pink-purplish glow. RIGHT-The railroad is about to go to 'night mode', never sleeping.

5:35 p.m.
