The NCAA first round South regional
basketball tournament was held at Alltel Arena in North Little Rock, AR
from March 21 thru March 23, 2008, which meant tons of riders for the
central Arkansas streetcars. Here are some pictures of that, plus some
of the crowds. Included are four Miami Hurricane cheerleaders.

Pacific Junction
Bridge. It will be a pedestrian walking bridge by May 2008. UP gave it
to the city in 2001 after the last train ran across it the year before.

tracks, so we had to stop. It didn't take too long for them to move.
Apparently, they were on a lunch break.

they were running two streetcars from the Alltel stop over the bridge
to the Chamber of Commerce stop in Little Rock and back to facilitate

Central Arkansas Transit, Keith Jones, is now project manager for a
commuter rail line (22 miles) in Denton and
Dallas counties, Texas and a deputy manager for the 44 mile Fort Worth
Commuter
