On Saturday, April 6, 2013, NS 1071, the heritage Central of New Jersey unit, came through Little Rock the second time in three weeks on the northbound empty oil train from St James, Louisiana, OSJEB-4. NS 1000 and 1025 were also on the train again. Here are some photos.

NS 1071 approaching Union Station at 11:00 a.m.

Statue of Liberty on the front.

The shade of blue on the locomotive almost matched the blue sky that day.

NS 1025, BNSF 5944, NS 1000.

The reason for the train, the oil tank cars. Hopefully, this NS heritage unit will remain on this train for awhile, but if NS decides to put another heritage locomotive on the oil train, that would be great. It also would be good publicity for NS's heritage program.
