A few scenes of Riverfest in Little Rock, Arkansas, March 23-25, 2014, including some streetcars shuttling visitors across the Arkansas River to the festival, and some photos of the old Rock Island passenger depot (now part of the Clinton Library) and the Rock Island bridge, which is now a walkig trail. Vendor tents were in the River Market and extended to the parking lot and grounds of the Clinton Library.

Two streetcars were used to shuttle people from North Little Rock to Riverfest in Little Rock, free of charge. Theses are on Main Street in North Little Rock.

The building to the left of the streetcars is the Argenta Drug Store, the oldest drugstore in continuous operation at the same location west of the Mississippi River.  Argenta Drug was opened in 1887 and has become the oldest continuously operating pharmacy west of the Mississippi River.

Here is the building.

Close to the Trolley Barn in North Little Rock.

Arriving at the Verizon Arena stop, heading south toward Little Rock.

Looking down at part of Riverfest from the streetcar on the bridge.

At the stop at the base of the Main Street Bridge.

Changing the poles to reverse direction. The overhead lines contain 600 volts DC.

Heading back to North Little Rock. That's the Verizon stop ahead.

The Trolley Barn stop.

Near one of the entrance points to Riverfest.

Police security.

Arkansas Razorbacks Tusk IV mascot was here.

Here is the Razorback.

The Junction Bridge walking bridge. This used to be the Missouri Pacific Railroad bridge.

U.S. Marines vehicle.

Walking under the I-30 bridge to more of Riverfest. The bridge in the distance is the former Rock Island bridge, now also a walking bridge at the Clinton Library.

Wood sculptures.

The vendors of Riverfest is behind and ahead of me. I'm looking at the ex-Rock Island Railroad bridge and nature walk and the Clinton Library to the right.

The bridge was raised on the piers for the walking bridge.

Walking to other parts of Riverfest on the Clinton Library grounds.

The red building in the background is the old Rock Island Choctaw Depot, now part of the Clinton Library, School of Public Service.

Beer anyone?

On the former Rock Island depot.

These tracks are streetcar tracks and the shelter is the stop for both the Clinton Library and Heifer International, which is working to end poverty and hunger throughout the world (http://www.heifer.org/)

I'm standing on the right of way of the Rock Island past the Choctaw Depot and toward the bridge.

Now it's Sunday afternoon, May 25. Bacon on a stick. Yummy. With maple syrup, some covered with chocolate.

Dark clouds, but no rain. 90 degrees.

Pickles.

Nachos. Popcorn. Endless food vendors.

World's largest grill sponsored by Johnsonville Brats.

Wood sculpture.

More entering Riverfest as we were leaving.  Later this evening there were fireworks.
