Amtrak's northbound Texas Eagle at the station, 11:09 p.m., 25 minutes early. Since UP has closed its tracks between Longview and Dallas for tie replacement, this train originates and ends in Longview with Dallas passengers bussed to Longview. That also means that the diner and lounge cars are watered here instead of in Fort Worth or Longview.
Taxis at the station. I venture to guess that there might be more taxis here now than at the airport, especially when the southbound Eagle arrives later at 3 a.m.
