Little Rock and Western GP9 passing Union Station in Little Rock on Sunday, January 9, 2011.This was a rare Sunday move, probably because of the expected snow and ice Sunday evening into Monday. I also included a short video of the train and a couple more train pictures.

Included today:
1) UP 2074, 7796, 7628
2) UP/SP 2047
3) LRWN 103
4) UP track workers

UP 2074, 8:50 a.m. on the Amtrak siding. The next line over, UP's Main 2, had a broken rail and workers were on the way to fix it.

UP/SP 2047.

UP 7796, 9:01 a.m.

UP 7628, the dpu.

Little Rock & Western GP9 No.103 arriving light from Perry at 9:34 a.m. This unit will lead a south/westbound train this afternoon. I think it made this rare move on a Sunday because of the winter weather expected tonight and Monday.

Obviously an old workhouse.

Passing UP track workers there to repair a broken rail.

Railroading on a Sunday at the station....track workers, shortline action and a UP intermodal.

Track workers all arrived by 9:40 a.m.

LRWN 103 with a train heading south/west toward Perry, Arkansas on the old Rock Island at 1:15 p.m.
