Two-day
old snow remained on tracks at Union Station in Little Rock, AR,
Wednesday, February 10, 2010. We had officially 7 inches on Monday. I
caught two trains and took some snow pictures.
Included today: 1) Snow scenes 2) BNSF 984, 5288 3) UP 2426, 9755
LEFT-Union Station's Amtrak platform was cleared of ice and snow a couple of days ago. RIGHT-Amtrak siding.
LEFT-The
old Honeydew Melon dried vine is under this patch of snow. A
honeydew melon actually grew here next to the tracks in July 2009.
RIGHT-Parking lot about 230 p.m. Temperature had risen above freezing
at 35 degrees.
RIGHT-A train approaches at 2:42 p.m. northbound, a BNSF trackage-rights train.
LEFT-BNSF 984, 2:43 p.m. RIGHT-BNSF 5288.
LEFT-Black tank cars and white snow.
LEFT-The Christmas Bow is still on the cedar tree across the tracks, this time with snow on the ground. RIGHT-Amtrak station.
UP 2426, 3:02 p.m.
LEFT-UP 9755. RIGHT-Sheet of ice.
