Here's a few trains at Brinkley, Arkansas on Saturday, February 20, 2010, plus some scenes of the last snow on the ground from a snowstorm 2 weeks ago. It was in the lower 60s today.

Included today:
1) Museum cat
2) Museum secretary Terri
3) UP 6618, 5742, 7364,
4) Last of the snow from the big snow and sleet storm two weeks ago
5) Cloud Monster (my imagination at work!)

Our museum cat, which shows up every month or so. Very friendly and appears to be well fed. (There are lots of mice around and inside the depot).

Our museum secretary, Terri, who shows up every week and is also very friendly. She sets the mouse traps. Note that the museum has a display of old phonographs and records and the phonographs actually work.

UP 7021 at 12:15 p.m. I couldn't read the SP number. About 5:30 this morning, UP 2002, the Salt Lake City blue Olympic unit, passed here on its way to Pine Bluff and later to UP's Jenk's Shops in North Little Rock for overhaul.

UP 6618, 12:51 p.m.

UP 5742, dpu.

UP 7364, 2:48 p.m.

A robin.

Last mini-patch of snow from the big snow/ice event two weeks ago.

I call this the 'Cloud Monster'. I took it from my car in Interstate 40 going west between Lonoke and North Little Rock, Arkansas about 4 p.m. You can see the two large eyes with the right eye having a black pupil. The frowning mouth is below the eyes and appears to be about to spit out a bright sunbeam. (Yeah, I know, but it looked obvious while I was driving, and I didn't have anything but iced tea to drink!!)

Below in the uncropped shot showing the road and rest of the clouds:
