For the past week, crews were doing maintenance on the overhead wires of the streetcar system in both Little Rock and North Little Rock. The system finally began operating again Friday night, February 22. This shot was taken February 18.

On February 20, this trainset was set out near Locust Street in North Little Rock, presumably to carry crews/workers around in anticipation of freezing rain and ice that evening. UP 6404 (former SP) was at one end and UP 1756 was at the other end. The baggage car is MP 16082. These two cars are always in the UP yard.

This was taken of my Droid RAZR smartphone screen on Thursday, February 21  about 10 a.m. showing the NWS weather for this area. We were having a thunderstorm with light rain at the time, wind chill was 23 degrees, temperature 33. Definite sweater weather. But I was watching trains, of course....lol.

Little Rock was on the line between an ice storm north and a wintry mix south. I am ready for spring.

Finally, here's the weather radar that day.
