This photo of George Takei, "Sulu" of Star Trek fame, was taken while he was giving a talk at Little Rock's Robinson Center February 23 on his experiences at the Rohwer, AR Japanese Relocation Camp in 1942, which is now a historic site in southeast Arkansas, 2 hours away from Little Rock. He was 5 years old at the time. The lecture was sponsored by the Clinton School of Public Service, which is housed in the old Rock Island Choctaw Depot, seen in the picture to the right of Takei. Also, he and his family and other Japanese-Americans, got to Rohwer by train. Does anyone know if there's a record of the route of this train across the country? The line through Rohwer, now abandoned, belonged to Missouri Pacific.
