Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Little Rock and North Little Rock had a good variety of trains, including a 19-car Engineering Special which spent the night on the business track in North Little Rock and UP 1982, the Missouri Pacific heritage locomotive, was also in town, and I found UP 2777, an old ex-SP SD40M-2.  Plus my usual old freight cars. There was still lots of ice on the ground from a winter storm 3 days ago.

Closeup of the NREX ex UP 2777 number reveals the NREX name. It's headed to the Missouri and Northerh Arkansas for starage.

At Union Station in Little Rock now with lots of left-over ice from the storm 3 days ago. This part of the parking lot is in the shade most of the day in the winter so ice melts slowly. The path from the Amtrak waiting room to the tracks and platform are clear of ice.

UP engineering special at 9:30 p.m. March 8 parked on the business track close to Jenk's Shops in North Little Rock. This is where UP steam engine 844 and train parks when it was in town years ago. (Thanks for the heads up by fellow railfan Joe Roddy when he saw this train passing Union Station earlier in the evening). The train's ID was PNLCB2-9 (thanks to Mr. Rudolph)  heading back to Omaha/Council Bluffs from a trip to Texas and Louisiana.
   CONSIST of Sunday night's UP special in North Little Rock was (I listed it front to back) I only got car numbers, not the names: Locomotives UP 8142, UP 8128 followed by 19 passenger cars, all being UPP-203, 4808, 7011, 1602, 1610, 5779, 314, 412, 119, 150, 140, 208, 8008, 7001, 5468, 5480, 6203, 5486, 5473.
