Just before 9 a.m. taken from the balcony of Union Station looking east. Lots of Texas and Arkansas was covered with rain this weekend. Up here on the balcony, it was high and dry.

UP 7671 heading a combined autorack and intermodal train at 9:06 a.m.

It changed from the autoracks to stack train at this point. It was a long train.

End of train, 9:10 a.m.

Red signals at 9:16 a.m.

GMTX 2116, 9:51 a.m. southbound.

Heavy rain as GMTX 2116, LLPX 2265 and UP 1917 pass the station southbound at 9:52 a.m.

Other train watchers on the balcony.

Weather for ducks and grub worms. However, it wasn't cold, about 50 degrees.

MP 786553 hopper with the MoPac Buzzsaw.

MKT 502 greet hopper.

UP 6612 and 5557 at 10:09 a.m. The only problem with photography of trains from this balcony is the power pole and line clutter. But it beats getting my camera wet.

MP 643637 gondola.

MP 641927 gondola.

SP 338295 Golden West Service gondola.

This was a solid empty gondola train.

Here are a few pictures I took of tulips along Main Street in North Little Rock today. All the flowers along Main Street were planted by Master Gardeners.

Closeup of a tulip with raindrops.

Here's the same photo as the previous one with a little artistic kaleidoscope special effects added.

Streetcar in the rain with flowers. This was the last run of the day (on Sundays the streetcars stop running at 5 p.m., but keep running other days until 10 p.m. (midnight Thursday-Saturday).
