HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!!

Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Little Rock and North Little Rock, Arkansas. Of special interest today was UP Heritage locomotive 1996, the SP unit, plus a rare red MKT gondola.

LEFT-Rush hour traffic on my way to the depot at 7:57 a.m. This is in North Little Rock about to cross the Broadway Bridge into Little Rock. RIGHT-8:07 a.m. at Union Station. A train has been routed on the Amtrak siding due to another train still fouling the turnout between Main 1 and Main 2 at Milepost 346.


SP-UP 2047.


LEFT-UP 2021, 8:09 a.m. RIGHT-Relatively good condition red MKT gondola MKT 16035. I was almost too close for a good shot, plus it was in the station's shadow, so I had to open my lens up a couple of F-stops.


LEFT-Took one shot from the Cantrell Road overpass. RIGHT-UP 8103 leads the QHONL-16 past the station at 8:32 a.m.


LEFT-UP 8103 and 9712. RIGHT-The dpu was UP 1996.


Passing me at 8:37 a.m.


Like it was posing for me in North Little Rock at 9:35 a.m.
