Here's a few trains in Little Rock Sunday, May 15, 2011. A PBS crew was there filming a documentary on railroads in Arkansas, which will air in the Fall.

Beautiful blue skies and cool temperatures (50s) at 7:08 a.m.


Gleaming tracks looking east into the sun.


Train approaches 7:18 a.m.

UP 5962 on an empty coal train, 7:58 a.m. This was the same consist on the loaded coal train that went through Saturday southbound.


Greasers were applied to both Main 1 (middle track) and Main 2 yesterday, Saturday. This was taken at 2:20 p.m. Sunday.


This bird is a Kite. You can hear their shrilling sounds a lot since we're only an eighth of a mile from the Arkansas River. This little fella will have greasy feet!

I took this photo on an almost full Moon with my Panasonic Lumix FZ40 30X digital camera Sunday evening, May 15, 2011 after having a good meal with good friends at a central Arkansas restaurant. I used a shutter speed of 1/500th second to cut down on the brightness. Note you can see craters on the Moon's southern horizon.
