My single train today (Tuesday, May 25, 2010) at the station in Little Rock was an auto-train and used the Amtrak siding. The train was led by UP7386.

A rare yellow signal on the Amtrak signal post at 11:03 a.m. The train in the background is a northbound empty coal train, which stops for a crew change in UP's North Little Rock yards and the DPU usually fouls the switch between Main 2 (second track to the left) and Main 1 (third track), so sometimes a freight will be routed on the Amtrak siding to get on Main 2 using another switch just to the right of the locomotive. This happened today.

The signal turned green at 11:04 a.m.

UP 7386 leads the auto-train at 11:10 a.m.

UP 7386.

Auto parts.

The end passes at 11:17 a.m., so it took this long train 7 minutes to pass. I think the speed is limited to 10 mph.
