Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Brinkley, Arkansas.

Included today:
1) UP 4285, 4967, 4001, 3787, 4486
2) NS 9756
3) Zenias

Distant southbound train on the Jonesboro Sub at 8:19 a.m. The Brinkley Sub is the track curving to the right toward West Memphis and Marion, Arkansas.

UP 4285, 8:20 a.m. I believe this is the daily Chicago to Houston Z train.

Baretables.

Some UPS trailers.

Another southbound headed by UP 4967 at 8:27 a.m.

The crossing is US Highway 70. UP goes track speed here, which I think is 59 mph. I was using 1/500th second shutter speed.

The front yard of the depot museum. There are tons of Zenias along the sidewalk. The building on the left is now a large bridal shop named Low's (http://lowsbridal.com/), which gets customers from all over a five-state area, including Dallas, Texas. It used to be the Rusher Hotel, which served the Rock Island,  which had tracks to the right of this hotel until the 1980s.

UP 4001, 9:03 a.m.

Brinkley depot, UP Jonesboro Sub, and the Brinkley Sub. I'm standing at the Milepost 199 sign.

Looking north.

Colorful Zenias.

UP 3787, 9:57 a.m.

UP 4486, 12:36 p.m. Note the rubber duckie.

NS 9756, 3:59 p.m.
