I went to Union Station in Little Rock at 6:20 a.m. to walk my mile and a half and got this shot of the moon. I then drove to Brinkley (55 miles)

A light engine move, headed by UP 9794, scared the birds. You can see the moon.

Moon and signals and birds.

In Brinkley at 8:43 a.m. on the sunny side of the tracks. KCS Belle 4709 showed, heading a short mixed train.

Passing the depot museum. Note the bird upper right and the tree shadow on 4709. At this time of day, it's hard NOT to get a bird in a photo around Brinkley, which is next to the Cache and White River National Wildlife Refuges and a cypress swamp.

Back on the 'wrong' backlit side of the tracks (I need to be in the museum for visitors). UP 4231 arrives at 10:06 a.m.

UP 6468, 11:12 a.m.

There was a DPU on this mixed train, UP 7306.

NS 9361 and 9547, 11:29 a.m.

Illinois Central hi-cube.

CSX hi-cube.

UP 5214, 11:55 a.m.

UP 6641, 1:19 p.m.

DPU, UP 6812, the second DPU on a mixed freight today. They both were quite long.

UP 9485, 2:15 p.m. looking north with max zoom (18x)

Crape Myrtles and UP 9485.

This swampy area is located next to the museum property to the north.

Two shiny NS units, 9905 and 8458.
