Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Brinkley and one shot at Little Rock. Included today:
1) NS 9891
2) UP 4100, 4439, 5253
3) Blue CN and GT hi-cubes
4) Providence & Worchester Railroad autorack
UP
4100 passing the Brinkley depot at 11:29 a.m. Always a severe backlight
problem in the mornings here since this segment of the Jonesboro Sub
runs due north-south.
CN and GT hi-cubes.
UP 4439, 12:19 p.m.
Looking
east from the Brinkley depot toward Memphis along the former Rock
Island line (now UP). Note the solar panel. The signal remains green
all the time except when there's an east-south bound.
NS
9891, 2:06 p.m. Lighting becomes much better on the west side of the
tracks in early afternoon. I can't go across the tracks in the morning
since I help with tours of the depot museum.
Unusual for here, a Providence & Worchester Railroad autorack. the only one on this train.
UP 5253 at Little Rock, 5:14 p.m. This was the highest priority UPS train. No DPU.
