A
couple of trains passing each other at the station in Little Rock
today, September 3, 2009. It was another in a series of cool, cloudy
mornings. These were taken in the 16x9 format, reduced from 4,000
pixels wide to 1,000 pixels wide for the web. Included today:
1) UP 6166 heading 8 other locomotives, 4349, 2482, 2285, 4676
2) Merry Christmas painted blue hopper
3) Load of lumber
4) Red Fall leaves already
5) GMTX 2122
UP
6166 with the YNL73, which usually carries numerous locomotives to move
them to Pine Bluff., today having 9. Time was 918 a.m.
Friendly engineer.
UP 4348 was the 9th unit.
Merry Christmas with a white and green tree on this hopper.
UP 2482, 9:55 a.m. It stopped here to let two northbound pass.
UP 2285 passes the stopped train at 10:08 a.m. The crew of 2482 inspected the passing 2285 train.
I like lumber on trains. These cars have such a nice new-lumber aroma.
Wide scene of the station area.
Some leaves are already turning red.
Nature at its finest, red and green leaves.
Unknown berries.
UP 4676, 10:29 a.m.
Passing UP 2482.
GMTX 2122.
