A good variety of of locomotive roadnames at Little Rock's Union Station on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Roadnames included were UP, CSX, CP, CN, BNSF, TFM. BNSF-Santa Fe 674 Warbonnet heading the BNSF trackage rights train QDYMEJ, from Dayton, Texas to Memphis, Tennessee at 10:10 a.m. Seeing these old warbonnet locomotives bring back lots of memories of riding Santa Fe passenger trains while growing up in Texas, including the Texas Chief with it's F-units. The yellow Santa Fe marking still looks sharp, but the red has faded, but still looks great.

Now we jump to Sunday afternoon at 2:12 p.m. It was approaching 100 degrees by this time as this empty oil train was passing. I chose to stay in the shaded balcony of Union Station for these afternoon shots to keep out of the heat. I know the view is cluttered with poles and lines, but it at least gives me some straight-side shots of freight cars from here.
