It's now after midnight at the station and I'm waiting for Amtrak Texas Eagle 22 from Texas at 12:40 a.m. September 21. I'm using the Multi-Frame Noise Reduction setting on my Sony Alpha 65 camera. It takes 6 quick shots using ISO 6400 and combines them into one photo. Makes it look almost as bright as day. While this is an easy technique to use for night shots, I still can't beat a lower ISO setting with the camera on a tripod and a few second exposure. Sony's noise reduction seems to work pretty well, even when I use the Alpha 65's 16,000 ISO setting.

1:00 a.m. Amtrak 22 was running about an hour and half late. This shot renders the reds, yellows and greens pretty well.

Amtrak sidings signal is green, 1:06 a.m.

Amtrak Texas Eagle No. 22 arrives at 1:08 a.m.
