Another day with deep blue skies and cooler temperatures at Little Rock, AR. The UP yellow matches the blue skies perfectly.  Also today, the old Rock Island bridge that crosses the Arkansas River was dedicated as a walking bridge connecting the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock with Verizon Arena in North Little Rock. I've included a couple photos of that renovated bridge. These photos were taken Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30, 2011.

The former Rock Island Railroad bridge over the Arkansas River between the Clinton Library in Little Rock and Verizon Arena in North Little Rock and was dedicated as a walking/biking bridge on Friday, September 30, 2011. There was a ceremony at 11 a.m. dedicating the bridge. These photos were taken in the afternoon.

They also built a wooden walking pier in the wetlands, which are located between the Clinton Library (right) and the Arkansas River. Apparently, this wetlands park is the largest wetlands inside a metropolitan area.
