Sunday,
October 4, 2009 at the station in Little Rock, AR. It was a rainy, cool
day. It stayed at 55 or 56 degrees all day, about 20 degrees below
normal (I've included a departure from normal rainfall map at the end of the page that shows the whole country). Seen today:

LEFT-NS 9280, 8:46 a.m. RIGHT-Looking through my windshield.
LEFT-A stack train was passing the first train at 8:47 a.m. RIGHT-Several gons of pipes.

LEFT-I
had gone home to get my jacket and when I returned, this intermodal was
at the station. RIGHT-UP 4643 and Ferromex 4651, 10:50 a.m.
LEFT-You
can see another train around the corner. RIGHT-The headlights of the
southbound are reflecting on the train as it's about to cross the
Baring Cross bridge.
Most
of the country is near or above normal in rainfall this year from
January 1 through October 1. Take a look at us here in Arkansas - 15-17
inches above normal.
