NS 1074. NS 1074, the Lackawanna heritage unit, passing Union Station in Little Rock at 7:23 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014. This and other trains were delayed hours today due to track maintenance and work. NS 1074 was on UP train MNPPB-5. It got to Van Buren at 1 a.m. but didn't get to North Little Rock until after 7 p.m., 18 hours. It normally takes 4 hours. All was understandable though because track work has to be done.
Since the Amtrak platform lights don't come on until about 9 p.m., I needed to use my built-in flash, then brighten it via Paint Shop Pro, so it's grainy, but at least I got the shot of another NS heritage locomotive. NS 1074 only went to Pine Bluff, it might be coming back to Little Rock on November 9.
