Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Union Station in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was cloudy and in the 40s early then warmed to the 60s by noon. My favorite catch was a red MKT gondola built in 1970 and some kids watching the trains. I also included a photo of myself in a 'Steam Punk' (1800s) engineers outfit complete with top hat and boots.

The return train will haul crude oil to the Louisiana coast at St. James and is the same crude that the proposed pipeline will handle in a few years, if it gets built. We see these here frequently these days, mostly headed by BNSF locomotives. Time was 8:45 a.m.

These are the new tank cars used for the crude.

This is yours truly in a newly bought 'Steam Punk' engineers outfit, which is supposed to look like locomotive engineers in the 1800s. It's for an Anime convention in December at Fayetteville, Arkansas, at which people dress in various costumes like this and other kinds. I'm going with friends who have a 9 year old that loves Anime and they wanted me to dress up. I got a gold watch to go with it, and the shiny brown boots.
