Here are some trains at the station in Little Rock, Arkansas on both Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24, 2013. It was cold and windy, in the 40s, with gusts to 40 mph. Included are some night shots (I even got two MKT green hoppers passing the station at 1 in the morning while I was waiting for Amtrak's Texas Eagle). Plus I finally got a photo of the Ma & Pa boxcar.

NW 99174 gondola carrying bars of some kind. From a UP source: "NW 99174 is loaded with oil platform drill pipe, and as you can see it shifts easily. WE have a lot of problems hauling this stuff as it is so hard to secure so it won't slide every time you hit the brakes."

Now its Sunday night/Monday morning at the station at 1:20 a.m. CSX 4824 leads a northbound past the Amtrak platform. Amtrak's northbound Texas Eagle will arrive here at 2 a.m. and passengers were waiting in the station's waiting room. It was very cold, temperature 33 degrees, wind gusting to 30, wind chill 23 degrees. This was taken through my windshield with my camera's ISO set at 12,800.

Amtrak locomotive #61 leads the northbound Texas Eagle #22 into the station at 2:01 a.m., 2 hours late. This was the first northbound Eagle to run in two days due to a UP freight derailment near McRae, Arkansas, 40 miles northeast of here.
