Rain and trains, Saturday, July 10, 2010, including a wind turbine train passing the BNSF local in pouring rain at Little Rock around 1 p.m.. I've also included one train at Brinkley, Arkansas, 55 miles east of Little Rock on Interstate 40.

LEFT-North Louisiana & Gulf - NLG boxcar - HS 3880. RIGHT-The BNSF local in front of Union Station in Little Rock with BNSF 3182 and BNSF/BN 3286 at 12:10 p.m. Dark clouds were increasing.


LEFT-UP/SP 2047, 12:18 p.m. RIGHT-MKT green hopper 539. I always will try to include any MKT rolling stock.


LEFT-Dark skies and trains. RIGHT-The BNSF local stretched around the curve on LRWN tracks.

LEFT-CSXT 180750 hi-cube. RIGHT-A gust front was moving in with rain starting shortly - 12:38 p.m. As you can see, I've moved upstairs to the covered station balcony.


LEFT-Pouring rain at 12:43 p.m. RIGHT-You can barely see the double yellow signals indicating a train was coming northbound and then going on the Van Buren Sub toward Fort Smith and Oklahoma.


LEFT-UP 4858 arrives with a long wind turbine train at 12:53 p.m. RIGHT-UP 4858 from the balcony. Wind Turbine train is the SBTMY-08, Beaumont to Manly, IA.


LEFT-Vestas covered wind parts. RIGHT-UP 9362, the second unit.

I made the quick trip to Railroad Avenue in North Little Rock to catch this train again on the Van Buren Sub at 1:22 p.m.
