Thursday,
April 23, 2009 at the station in Little Rock, Arkansas. There was a
'red flag' inspection team at the station today, which stopped several
trains for inspections. This exercise measures how long it takes a
train to stop when confronted with an unexpected red flag. Although I
don't know the details, I think all crews passed today. I also caught
an over-active Mockingbird near trackside.
Included today:
1) UP 5095, 2420
2) UPY 640, clean and shiny
3) Scale car
4) White, new small tankcar
5) Red Flag inspections, tests
6) Active Mockingbird

The
red flag was for a southbound train on that track. The northbound light
engine move was on the Amtrak siding, but was also inspected.
