A couple of trains on the Union Pacific's Sunset Route through Columbus, Texas on Monday, December 23, 2013, including a red pipe train heading westward.


UP 4386, westbound on the Sunset Route through Columbus, Texas, 9:35 a.m. This is the Travis Street crossing, M.P. 84.29. What was on this vacant lot, the SP Depot?


UP 8479.


Large red pipes. According to Bill Bailey and Don Weis, these red pipes are for natural gas.




CN 668010 flat with the red pipes. The train was moving right along at at good clip, I assume at track speed.  What is the limit through here?


Tied down with lots of line.




What's the yellow and blue stand for?


Earlier, UP 8804 headed a stack train through Columbus at 9:21 a.m.
