Unpatched Cotton Belt SSW 9642, August 11, 2010 North Little Rock, AR

Conrail/NS 6758, August 11.

CEFX 849, August 11. From Norm Metcalf:   CEFX 849 isn't ex MRL.  It's a GP38-2, f&b 72689-4, May 1973, nee MILW 353 to SOO 4503 to SECX 3820 to CNW 4711 to UP 849 to CEFX 849.

August 12, 2010-colorful locomotive consist in North Little Rock: KCS Belle 4733, NS 9487, UP 2961, CEFX 849.

This must have taken some time. Taken August 17, 2010. This car is CSXT 124264.

Cropped image. Looks like a horror comic.

Very good condition Greenville & Northern Railway boxcar, HS 30048, August 15. To those doing graffiti, leave the classic old cars like this alone-these are rare and belong to railroads that have been out of business for decades and are like museum pieces on the rails.

MKT 530, August 15. There were four of these on the same train, not adjacent though.

MKT 502, Aug 15.

MKT 587, Aug 15.

MKT 544, Aug 15.

Freshly repainted  UP hoppers, one being UP 218188, August 15. From Matt Holman of Spring, Texas: "I noticed you had posted some shots of a couple UP small capacity covered hoppers this week (UP 218188 and MP 706853). Both of those cars are not new- they are just repainted, the UP hopper was built in 1984 and the MoPac hopper dates from the late 70s. Both are in cement service and have been as long as I can remember- my dad used to be the UP equipment manager for these hoppers. I can still recall the HO scale model of one of the UP 218000 series hoppers he had on his desk at work."

Newly repainted UP hopper MP 706853, August 15.

New GMQX hoppers, August 14. These are for Granite Mountain.
