A UP special train with 11 cars passed Union Station in Little Rock on Saturday, May 21, 2011 heading to Pine Bluff, AR from Dupo, Illinois. Thanks to UP people and the Internet for alerting me to to this train. Special thanks to John C. Jones who called me with updates.

The special was headed by UP 7454 on UP Main 2, just coming off the Baring Cross bridge at 3:18 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011. This whole area was flooded the previous evening about 7 pm due to extremely heavy downpours (estimated rainfall rate at the time was 1 inch in 15 minutes). Fortunately, the rain only lasted a half hour.

Pictures of the rain and dark clouds the previous day, Friday May 20, at 1:09 p.m.  Note streetlights on.

Still 1:09 p.m. Spooky.
