On the West Broadway overpass in North Little Rock at 11:06 a.m.
The sun was coming in and out of the clouds.
Jump ahead to 1:23 p.m. at Union Station in Little Rock. The special was leaving for Pine Bluff and Shreveport and will take the Amtrak siding here and stop to allow a freight to pass who's crew was running out of legal time. The bright sun broke through the clouds here for a good shot of UP 949.
Up close and personal. You can almost imagine a day 60 years ago with trains like this were common everywhere.
