Here
are a few pictures of trains at Little Rock February 6 and Brinkley,
Arkansas February 7, 2009. I included some Central Arkansas Transit
streetcars Thursday evening, February 5 and Saturday evening, February
7 in the River Market District in Little Rock and a weird-looking car -
a new hybrid? Also, UP 6736, the Operation Lifesaver unit. Included:
1) Newest of hybrid cars? (LOL) 2) UP 4023, 3781, 7915, 9430, 6736 (Operation Lifesaver unit), 1540, 1539 (real workhorses on the local), 3860 3) CSX 249, 7624 4) HLCX 3813 5) AMT 118 6) UP/SP 6348 7) Two SP boxcars, relatively grafitti-free 8) Central Arkansas Transit Streetcars 408, 412 9) Evening and night scenes in Little Rock's River Market District. 10) The newest of hybrid cars in a parking lot? (LOL - tongue-in-cheek, but interesting photo)

LEFT-HLCX 3813. RIGHT-UP 3781, the 8th unit of the locomotive consist.
LEFT-Green hoppers of some sort. RIGHT-UP
7915 passes Amtrak Texas Eagle northbound No. 22 at 10:20 a.m. Amtrak
was about 11 hours late from Texas because of engine problems,

LEFT-UP 9430, northbound at 10:51 a.m. Feb 6. RIGHT-UP 6736, Operation Lifesaver unit, heading a loaded coal train southbound at 10:59 a.m. February 6.

LEFT-UP 1540 and 1539, true workhorses. I see these two almost every day on these locals. RIGHT-Two matching SP boxcars at the end of the train.

Arkansas Saturday, February 7, 2009. A fast intermodal speeds
southward at 1:14 p.m. This was the ONLY train I saw today at Brinkley
between 10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. RIGHT-UP 3860, 1:14 p.m. US Highway 70 is right behind me and the warning blasts from the locomotive was very loud.

7 in the River Market in Little Rock after I returned from Brinkley.
Streetcar 408 moves away from the camera on Clinton Avenue, ready to
pick up passengers on the right. This is a very congested area with
lots of cars on the two-way street. RIGHT-Looking west along Clinton Avenue.
Looking
east from the streetcar stop you can see the Clinton Presidential
Library and Park on the other side of the Interstate 30 overpass. The
Clinton Library opened in November 2004, but I have not gone there yet.

5, 2009, a Thursday, in the River Market District of Little Rock
showing the streetcar line and sign at Clinton and Commerce Streets.
RIGHT-Car 412 at the stop.
This
car was in a parking lot downtown and I've seen it being driven, even
at night. Yes, all those lights work. The driver is a well-dressed,
eccentric gentleman (with tie). Could this be a new hybrid running on alcohol?? If he had a fender bender, who would know? LOL You may contact me using this CONTACT FORM -
